  • The gardens of Annevoie are located between Namur and Dinant. These are the gardens of the castle of the same name. These are designed in the 18th century and then again several times adjusted in different styles. They are regarded as an important cultural heritage site of Wallonia. Via a nice hiking route you along and indicated by the different parts of the castle garden. Don't expect beautiful aangeharkte flower beds and tight shaved lawns, but get to know the way back then Castle Gardens were designed and laid out with many works of art, making use of the natural environment, such as plenty of water and hills.

  • in between namur and dinant direction anhée sees you from far "jardins d'annevoie" this visit was already at the end of september and so there was still a lot of green and flower. This trip is good to do for young and old for families etc, also a try in end March or april next time is a must

  • On the internet it looks beautiful, and it really is it that too! These gardens are not only heavenly beautiful on a sunny autumn day (probably also in other seasons), they are hugely RESTful. On that sunny October Sunday we could make and the beautiful herstkleuren photos to your heart's content in our store. At the entrance you will get a plan so that you know which direction you should follow. Drinking and possibly eat after your walk is still something in the catering business (Bocow) to get some further enjoy the beautiful and relaxing gardens. One of the top attractions in the Ardennes!

  • Gorgeous and romantic garden There is a large dedicated car park right in front of the garden with a parking fee of 1.50 euros, which you pay with your tickets at the garden's entry. The entrance fee is 6.50 euros per adult, and 1.50 euros for the guide, which has little information besides the map. Toilets available. The map has a suggested path to view the garden which is signaled by arrows along the path itself. The garden is a mix of styles: - french: art corrects nature: very angular, perfectly defined. Think Versailles; - english: art imitates nature: the exact opposite; - italian: emphasis on creating little sceneries, each different, often involving water jet, to awe-struck the viewer. We followed the suggested path which takes you through each and everyone of these sceneries. The castle bordered by water is one of the most beautiful of those, but its interior isn't part of the visit. The sceneries are unique each in their own way. They often involve statues and water: small rivers, water stretches, fountains, jets of water. A particularity of the garden is that the fountains don't use pumps, but merely gravity to work, using the principle of communicating vessels. The visit took us, with few short stops, an hour and a half. There is a restaurant at the end of the terrace overlooking the garden. We didn't try it. Conclusion: gorgeous romantic gardens perfect for a stroll on a sunny day. Tips and Tricks: Some days during the year, they organise Venetian parades, with people in costumes greeting the visitors along the path. We didn't visit the gardens on such a day. Quite the opposite, we almost had the place to ourselves. We prefered it that way. Visited in April 2014.
  • Beautiful gardend, stunning building, a peaceful location to relax and enjoy.
  • Expensive and currently undergoing repairs. All flowers are gone... probably best to wait next year to visit...
  • amazing place. Something wonderful after every corner.
  • Beautiful place
