  • During a walk in the area around Annevoie are we settled down in the coffee shop at the gardens of Annevoie. The coffee was very tasty; also during lunch, we sat out on the balcony. The salad with salmon and trout was tasty, though pricey (15 euro) The cheese sandwich, however, was little spectacular for the 6 euros that we had. The walk was very pleasant but after 23 kilometers we had no puf more to also yet to visit the gardens itself.

  • Garden over the water... Clean, accessible way, with explanations and plan guide make this very nice ride. The murmur of waterfalls and fountains soothe, sometimes in the Sun or in the shade this garden will suit lovers of nature. Only downside lack of flowers. Duration of the visit varies according to whether you dwell there or walk at a good pace. We put 1 h with 4 year old.

  • I prefer to give more than less but 3,5 would be more appropriate. It's nice to visit if you are around or pass by but I wouldn't recommend to go 50km just to see it. Unless you love to relax hearing ...  more »

  • Very beautiful garden. Many photo opportunities. Friendly staff.
  • Splendid smaller Belgian garden with a super genial water circulation system
  • Expensive and currently undergoing repairs. All flowers are gone... probably best to wait next year to visit...
  • Peaceful, few visitors
  • Gorgeous and romantic garden There is a large dedicated car park right in front of the garden with a parking fee of 1.50 euros, which you pay with your tickets at the garden's entry. The entrance fee is 6.50 euros per adult, and 1.50 euros for the guide, which has little information besides the map. Toilets available. The map has a suggested path to view the garden which is signaled by arrows along the path itself. The garden is a mix of styles: - french: art corrects nature: very angular, perfectly defined. Think Versailles; - english: art imitates nature: the exact opposite; - italian: emphasis on creating little sceneries, each different, often involving water jet, to awe-struck the viewer. We followed the suggested path which takes you through each and everyone of these sceneries. The castle bordered by water is one of the most beautiful of those, but its interior isn't part of the visit. The sceneries are unique each in their own way. They often involve statues and water: small rivers, water stretches, fountains, jets of water. A particularity of the garden is that the fountains don't use pumps, but merely gravity to work, using the principle of communicating vessels. The visit took us, with few short stops, an hour and a half. There is a restaurant at the end of the terrace overlooking the garden. We didn't try it. Conclusion: gorgeous romantic gardens perfect for a stroll on a sunny day. Tips and Tricks: Some days during the year, they organise Venetian parades, with people in costumes greeting the visitors along the path. We didn't visit the gardens on such a day. Quite the opposite, we almost had the place to ourselves. We prefered it that way. Visited in April 2014.
