Brewery
The Brasserie d'Achouffe is a Belgian brewery based in Achouffe. It was founded in 1982 by two brothers-in-law, Pierre Gobron and Christian Bauweraerts, as a hobby. In September 2006, the brewery was bought by the brewery group Duvel Moortgat.HistoryIn the late 1970s, the two brothers-in-law, Pierre Gobron and Chris Bauweraerts, decided to create their own beer, in their own brewery. Today, Achouffe beers have won highly coveted international awards, year after year, in recognition of their unique flavour. In the late summer of 2006, Duvel-Moortgat Brewery purchased the brewery.SalesThe brewery produces 300,000 hectoliters of beer a year, which it exports to 72 countries.ProductsBrasserie d'Achouffe produces several different beers, including: La Chouffe, a blond beer, available in 33cl and 75cl bottles, magnum and 20l barrels.Mc Chouffe, a Scotch ale, available in 33cl and 75cl bottles, and in 20l barrels.Houblon Chouffe, a heavily hopped ale, available in 33cl and 75cl bottles, and in 20l barrels. • A great discovery was while we were driving by the Ardennes, we find the Gnomish brewery. We visited not the brewery, but we have the festival organized by (and see the contest of stacked cases of beer) and were able to taste their beers in a spectacular setting. We can only say, ' we will return.

  • Solid dish of terroir, served with kindness and professionalism. Also the price/quality ratio. I loved the framework with the fireplace in the center of the room. I did not visit the Museum.

  • A very nice visit in the brewery that ends with a 2 beers tasting and gift small glass. Same day registration starts at 9am, too early for the 2pm tour, especially when there was nothing to do around.
  • I have not been to their brewery, but I had their beer at Erbusco Bakery in Erbusco, Italy. It is the perfect beer for me. Not bitter and very smooth. I had the golden ale
  • Fun tour and great beer!
  • Very good beer, only downside is that it was very busy at the time.
  • Unfortunately they were closed when we wanted to visit it.
