Nesvizh Castle, Nesvizh

4.6
#1 of 29 in Things to do in Minsk Region
See how one of the most important clans of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania lived at Nesvizh Castle. This World Heritage Site was restored to its original 16th-century appearance in 2004. The complex features a palace, a town hall, a craftsman’s house, two monasteries, and a church. See the coffins of members of the Radziwill family, made of birch and marked with the family's coat of arms. Walk through the English garden, or sit on a bench with the view of the lake. Look for a statue of a mermaid with two tails--a legendary local water nymph. See Nesvizh Castle and all Nesvizh has to offer by arranging your trip with our Nesvizh holiday planner.

Visited the Castle family, traveling to Belarus. I believe that this object is required to visit, to create a general impression on the history of the country. The territory of the Castle very well groomed, pleasant for walking: clipped lawns, lots of greenery, clear pond. Entrance free, and to get into the Castle you have to pay 16 rub. per adult (weekend day). Halls of the Castle very impressionable, rich, well renovated. There is something to show about exhibits. If there is a desire for deeper dive into history-take a guide. The truth is in the premises create a specific microclimate, making it quite stuffy in the rooms (where low ceilings). In the Ballroom managed to get to the music (excellent instrument sounds in a room with good acoustics).

The city is beautiful! Clean, well cared for lovingly and with soul. The Palace is surrounded by a huge park area. It should be borne in mind that in the evening lots of mosquitoes. There is a risk of being pokusannym) Palace itself has a simple song, absolutely non-wearisome and short-lived. Take an audio guide-inexpensive and informative.
