Nesvizh Castle, Nesvizh

(4.5/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
See how one of the most important clans of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania lived at Nesvizh Castle. This World Heritage Site was restored to its original 16th-century appearance in 2004. The complex features a palace, a town hall, a craftsman’s house, two monasteries, and a church. See the coffins of members of the Radziwill family, made of birch and marked with the family's coat of arms. Walk through the English garden, or sit on a bench with the view of the lake. Look for a statue of a mermaid with two tails--a legendary local water nymph. See Nesvizh Castle and all Nesvizh has to offer by arranging your trip with our Nesvizh holiday planner.

  • Attended summer. Very much. We advise you to take a tour, or join existing. Restored really well. it gives you an idea of different periods and Castle owners. It is, of course, not castles in Prague, but in comparison with Warsaw, looks dignified. Very friendly staff.

  • Nesvizh Castle struck by its beauty and inner decoration. Restorers have worked on glory. By the way, this is the closest srednevekrovyj Castle from Mosvky.

  • The castle complex is large enough. Don't expect to see in the "provincial" Belarus such beauty. Were in the winter, walked the dambovoj track, enjoying views of the water. Christmas tree stood in the courtyard of the Palace, and clicked with "bear", who created a joyful atmosphere, despite the bad weather. In the Palace during the new year holidays the same way had its own program: noble Lady of the Knight told the story of her love in the ball room and Bandmaster in the small chapel of the performed work on the harmonium. Nesvizh Castle is a generic socket Radziwill, very noble and rich kind of Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Representatives of this family name owned lots of land and estates on the territory of modern Belarus and Lithuania played a major role in political life, founded several manufactories, had sponsors and collectors. In the 20 century the manor was nationalized. For a while there was a sanatorium. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Castle came under the tutelage of the Ministry of culture of Belarus. And then began to restore the Castle. Well, enough history, better show what it looked.
