4.4/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web
Victory Square is a genuine Soviet-era square. See the 38 m (124 ft) high granite monument dedicated to the millions who died in the Great Patriotic War--World War II. Watch for the red star and the old Soviet coat of arms on its top, and pay attention to the sculpture of Lenin on the side of the monument. The face of Stalin, which used to be there, was converted into Lenin's ear. An eternal flame flickers at the base of the obelisk, making it a popular spot for photographs. You can discover more about the square and its role in Belarusian history in the museum under the square. The main entrance to famous Gorky Park is also on this square. • A nice big monument with "the eternal fire" to remember those who died in the war. Underground it is connected to the metro line, so you can come here straight from the metro.
  • Liked me as well as the historical significance that has. Its flame remains lit at all times in commemoration of the death of the soldiers in the war. This is one of the places which should not go.

  • On the one hand the sacred place-the eternal flame, etc., on the other hand, private monument of the regional scale of the USSR. It's hard to say something ... With great respect to the heroes of the second world war, but the attractions of this place include can't, unless as part of the overall building the victory square and the surrounding buildings, but it is more to architecture.
