  • Really enjoyed walking through the Centre of Minsk in a warm weekend. Town Hall building and area cities always attract attention of tourists, there is a remnant of the past of the city-the middle ages. The building with the clock tower and weather vane, its beautiful columns on the edges. Classical music concert on the square, merchants with souvenirs.

  • The Town Hall is a symbol of urban independent self-government. Minsk received Magdeburg rights in 1499, and therefore was built wooden Hall. Later, the building was rebuilt and destroyed. In the year 2004 the Minsk City Hall regained the old drawings. Now this is a favorite place of tourists and photographers in Minsk. And the "old town" sounds every hour ringtone Ratushnyh chimes.

  • Together with its surroundings, it's a beautiful place. I went to watch the show in a field next to Jazz. This field usually made such activities from what I hear that ... Ahead on the left side is a small park in the Church and in the background a little River Road continued ...

  • Not much to see. Main attraction is a statue of a horse drawn carriage.
  • Minsk Town Hall or Minsk City Hall as it is also known is located in the centre of the city in Liberty Square. The building was first built in 1583 but has since been rebuilt many times in different forms but was last destroyed in 1857 and the rebuilding process began in 1980 with 15 years planning before construction began to recreate the building that last stood there down to the half metre thick walls before reopening in 2004. The building looks like it was built hundreds of years ago and the level of detail is remarkable. It's essentially an office building now but there are tours available.
  • White building not expect any fabolous...
  • This is actually the heart of the Old Town. Ancient buildings were reconstructed recently, and they probably lack the authenticity, but still this place is a remarkable one for Minsk residents. The City Hall and the main Orthodox Church are situated here. Cafes and take away coffee spots, souvenir kiosks.
  • The most interesting place in Minsk, in my opinion. In addition to the historic architecture here is full of sculptural kompazicij. And on weekends and public holidays there are fairs local crafts.

Where to stay in Minsk

The funky town of Minsk is flooded with cool hotels and chic apartments to rent, many of which can be quite luxurious. Renting an apartment is a great option--and if you are traveling with a group, you can keep the cost per person down. While bed and breakfasts and guesthouses are not quite as popular in this city, you can find affordable lodging at the nice but less expensive hotels that may sacrifice location or amenities. Most hotels and hostels will arrange to register you as a foreigner with the police. If you rent an apartment-style accommodation, make sure to check in advance whether or not your host will do so. Without registration, you can stay in Belarus for only five business days.
