4.3
#1 of 8 in Theme Parks in Belarus
Theme Park · Hidden Gem · Water / Amusement Park
Stroll under the canopy of trees at Gorky Central Park, the oldest park in Minsk, dating back to 1800. During Soviet times, the park changed its name from the Governor’s Gardens to the "park of culture and recreation after A.M. Gorky," a famous Soviet writer. Rent a rowboat or paddle on the river which runs through the park. Have a snack at one of several cafeterias on the bank. Attractions include an amusement park, an observatory with a planetarium, and an ice skating rink. A 56 m (184 ft) high Ferris wheel offers a broad view of the city. • There are always happy kids here and it's peaceful, with a river running alongside. In the summer there riding attractions and formal gardens, but there's always something to see.
  • It would be a mixed review based on feelings and emotions and real facts about this amusement park. First, it’s a very old vista point and amusement park, built far in USSR times, that’s why it can look and feel outdated and like it needs to be renovated. It’s true, but... it can make you feel as a small boy or girl and remember when you visited such parks long time ago (I mean people who are 30+ old :)). It has great park of trees and plants and you can just walk and relax, it’s not a place to try modern roller coasters but it’s a place just to relax without any obligations :)
  • Peaceful place in the middle of the city. Perfect place to spend some time with little kids
  • Went in April 2019 - loved the view of the Russian White House across the river from here The lake was still frozen - found the nicest dog friendly eatery, then walked back up the river to central moscow - a grand day out ..and Really cool 1930's public loo
  • A good quiet place for slow walking along the river. Autumn, the time for thinking and contemplation.
