Gorky Central Park, Minsk

Categories: Fun & Games
Inspirock Rating:
3.7/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
Stroll under the canopy of trees at Gorky Central Park, the oldest park in Minsk, dating back to 1800. During Soviet times, the park changed its name from the Governor’s Gardens to the "park of culture and recreation after A.M. Gorky," a famous Soviet writer. Rent a rowboat or paddle on the river which runs through the park. Have a snack at one of several cafeterias on the bank. Attractions include an amusement park, an observatory with a planetarium, and an ice skating rink. A 56 m (184 ft) high Ferris wheel offers a broad view of the city. • Nice Park, a large green. We came here to ride the Ferris wheel, and the view did not disappoint us! Came on foot from independence square, 20 minutes.

  • A good children's Soviet Park for children always busy citizens. Two minus signs. 1. With good cafes in the Park a big minus (as well as in all other parks of Minsk). and 2. Up to 11-12 hours a day in the Park of rest almost impossible. Every day until that time in the Park blow away the leaves. (And at least start from may, when listopadov is still far away). Rattling noise, very strong stands on the whole Park as at tankodrome. In addition they raise into the air a large number of sand, dust and dirt. Why do it every day-a mystery to me.

  • Nice Park, visited Minsk on may holidays. The people there are many walks in the nice weather. Most memorable rides), especially the "Enterprise", walked on it a few times)
