See 18th-century frescoes on the domed ceiling of Archcathedral Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built by the Poles in 1710 as a Jesuit temple. View a Baroque painting of the Virgin Mary behind the main altar, or follow the story of the passion of Christ from the white sculptures placed in niches along the nave. The church changed its status several times during its history. After World War II, it housed a sports society. Its original function as a Roman Catholic cathedral was restored in the 1990s. • The Church is located in the Centre of Minsk on a busy street. It is then so nice when one enters the Church and then is surrounded by a large internal and external peace. The Church is also very nice about it and also in very good condition. Therefore, no matter whether only sightseeing or resting place, a visit is worth in any case.
