Lights Alley, Brest

4.9
Walk down , where each lantern sculpture tells a story. Each gas lamp is part of an elaborate piece of metal artwork that pays homage to everyday people. Sit in an old carriage or on a bench below a little cupid with an arrow. See a giant nose sticking out from an officer's collar, illustrating a satire by famous Russian writer Nikolai Gogol. Other sculptures include a little shoe shiner, an artist's easel, a tradesman selling pretzels, and more. At sunset, the lamplighter starts turning up the lanterns by hand. You can watch a light show from one of the many small cafes nearby. Plan a trip to Brest easily and quickly by telling Inspirock to suggest an itinerary.

  • Sovetskaya Street, and her name is street lamps. The Millennium of Brest set very original lamps, reflecting the activities of the sponsoring companies.

  • We recommend an evening walk in the light of the exclusive lamps along the Boulevard. Gogol's characters emerge immediately in your imagination

  • Street lamps are very unusual. You can walk in any weather and at any time of the day is always interesting. Really liked the lights, actively photographed. Bravo to the author of the idea, this is a wonderful gift for the anniversary of the city.
