Brest Railway Station Building, Brest

(3.9/5 based on 90+ reviews on the web)
See a Neoclassical waiting hall in its original 19th-century design at Brest Railway Station Building. The Russian emperor, Alexander III, led the opening ceremony from the platform of the new station in the summer of 1886. The architectural complex was damaged during the two world wars and has been restored several times. Notice the red Soviet star that crowns the highest tower of the complex. A big portion of the large square in front of the station serves as a parking lot. The station also features a modern waiting hall, built in 1975. • The station building is reminiscent of the Moscow vysotki. And no wonder-it was the western gate of the USSR.

  • This station is the visiting card of the city. One side of European, another retro-Soviet. Both-above all praise. The Stalinist style in full splendor and modern side-absolute Europe. And all facilities for passengers, and clean and tidy throughout. can be used as a tourist attraction.
