Head off the beaten track to Foul Bay, which despite its name charms with a scenic white sandy beach. The pristine, often deserted stretch of coastline is bordered by tropical perennials and palms, and bookended by two rugged points. Lounge in the natural shade of the trees, or get active on the water. Note that the swells in the bay lend themselves better to activities like bodyboarding than swimming. The beach has no facilities, so bring whatever you need--but leave valuables at home, as theft has been reported. Foul Bay reviews

We stopped by Foul Bay while visiting the island on a cruise. We rented a car and checked out 8 different beaches on the island. Foul Bay was one of our favorites! We prefer to spend time at secluded.... more »

If you want quiet and away from the crowds this is it. No services, and beautiful beach, but you must be a good swimmer, waves can be rough, more »

A very quite beach close to where we were staying at The Crane. We walked over there one morning. It seems to be a locals hideaway. more »

Great beach. A little off the beaten path. Rough waters. Lots of sun and shade. Great place for a bbq.

A relaxing beach! I would recommend swimming in it, it’s more of a jumping over the waves beach.

Beautiful sandy beach - very quiet with no development around. That meant a bit of seaweed on the beach and no cafes, bars, toilets or lifeguards. The sea was very rough so it wasn't possible to swim, but the views were stunning, so it is worth a visit for that alone. Felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves - only saw 4 other people when we were there.

Great for photos

Beautiful sunsets. Sometimes the seaweed can be a bit much. Nice place for a picnic but you must bring everything. There are no shops or resturants for a few miles. The sea is rough so unless you are a very capable swimmer I would only let you feet get wet. Enjoy the view, breeze and company of friends or family.
