Explore the lush tropical grounds of Hunte's Gardens, a manicured, sculpted plot that works to retrain the jungle's unruliness. Stop at various seats and soak up the atmosphere of various mini-gardens, and take time to observe hummingbirds questing for nectar and lizards basking in the sun. • Is a very beautiful and well maintained garden. There is a cost of admission you don't remember what it was, but I thought it was expensive. Includes a drink: rum punch or juice. The caretaker of the garden was nice enough, but Mr. Hunte was in Scotland, then part of the garden was closed. Reading other comments here it seems that their presence was half the fun. We were also right after the passage of the storm which then turned the hurricane Matthew, but everything was already arranged, although damp. As a Brazilian, I didn't see much fun in plants that were there, I found the most common for me, but the British who were with me loved it and found the rather exotic vegetation. Is an eclectic place without theme, have Buddhas, have victories have hindu figures, Regal has rum punch.

  • Wonderfully lush and interesting compact tropical garden in a natural rock basin. Very good host in Anthony, only sorry we couldn't stay longer to sample the refreshments on offer. As previously mentioned the price is a little steep along with everything else we came across on the tourist trail in Barbados unfortunately. Well worth a visit though once you find it. Piped classical music serenades your walk though this lovely garden. Seating throughout shaded and sunny. One of the best gardens. Meet Mr Hunte after for a chat and drink also has some great pottery for sale amongst other things. Well sign posted so pretty easy to find. This magical place never ceases to amaze as you follow the paths winding their way through the lush vegetation. Around every corner is a new sight or sound, carefully thought out and placed by Anthony Hunte himself. His dedication and passion for gardening is an inspiration to all! Then, when you think you've experienced it all, a lovely welcome in the house, with refreshments on the balcony overlooking the amazing views of the gully garden; Sipping his blend of rum with anecdotes about the garden,Paradise. A must see for any visitor to the island.
  • These gardens are a must for any island visitor. The layout is quite remarkable and exceeds anything that I have seen in England. The flora is exotic and very well planted. Mr Hunt is a charming and modest gentleman. My only regret is not buying a bottle of his rum.
  • Amazing tropical garden, laid out on many levels, with a variety of sunny and shaded seating areas, with beautiful and diverse planting! Mr Hunte and his man Imran were very hospitable engaging and fun.
  • Beautiful. Might be one of the most peaceful and beautiful spots you visit in Barbados. Anthony is an interesting guy to chat with. Highly recommend a visit!
  • Amazing garden. You can take a walk through and see everything or sit and enjoy the light music in the background. If you're lucky enough you may even see a humming bird nest. The gardens are beautiful!
