Explore the lush tropical grounds of Hunte's Gardens, a manicured, sculpted plot that works to retrain the jungle's unruliness. Stop at various seats and soak up the atmosphere of various mini-gardens, and take time to observe hummingbirds questing for nectar and lizards basking in the sun. • I have Anthony's garden today visited Hunte and spent almost 3 hours there. The garden is beautiful, in the background you can hear classical piano music and the singing of the birds. A magical place to the stay, Marvel and relax. Mr. Harismon terrace is there at the end of homemade lemonade or a glass of rum and to some exciting anecdotes and details of Mr. Hunte personally.

  • This is my favorite place on earth. I'm so sincere about this. Anthony is the most charming, brilliant, & pleasant man. Go there, NOW! It's such an elegant experience & he has made finding his paradise, i mean gardens, so easy to find that I actually used his signs to navigate myself throughout the entire island. His signage is BETTER than the government's!
  • A superb garden, designed with passion, expertise and flamboyance. The best garden we visited on the island. Added to that, the tour from Anthony Hunte was illuminating, entertaining and inspiring. Our Ramblers group was thrilled to have visited such a special place!
  • These gardens are a must for any island visitor. The layout is quite remarkable and exceeds anything that I have seen in England. The flora is exotic and very well planted. Mr Hunt is a charming and modest gentleman. My only regret is not buying a bottle of his rum.
  • beautiful garden and better hospitality, the owner Anthony was very informative about the garden and a gracious host. it's on my places to revisit list don't miss it
  • Wonderfully lush and interesting compact tropical garden in a natural rock basin. Very good host in Anthony, only sorry we couldn't stay longer to sample the refreshments on offer. As previously mentioned the price is a little steep along with everything else we came across on the tourist trail in Barbados unfortunately. Well worth a visit though once you find it. Piped classical music serenades your walk though this lovely garden. Seating throughout shaded and sunny. One of the best gardens. Meet Mr Hunte after for a chat and drink also has some great pottery for sale amongst other things. Well sign posted so pretty easy to find. This magical place never ceases to amaze as you follow the paths winding their way through the lush vegetation. Around every corner is a new sight or sound, carefully thought out and placed by Anthony Hunte himself. His dedication and passion for gardening is an inspiration to all! Then, when you think you've experienced it all, a lovely welcome in the house, with refreshments on the balcony overlooking the amazing views of the gully garden; Sipping his blend of rum with anecdotes about the garden,Paradise. A must see for any visitor to the island.
