Swim with the sea turtles at Paynes Bay Beach, an attractive strip of coastline. Rest in the shaded areas or on a rented deckchair, and head out into the water for a cooling swim. Try some sports on the water with a number of catamaran and jet ski rental facilities. Alternatively, head to the south of the beach to find the quieter areas, away from the cruise ship tour groups and noisy recreation. All along the coast, keep your eyes peeled for sea turtles feeding on the ocean floor. Paynes Bay Beach reviews
After 5 months on the island, discovered Payne's Bay Beach towards the end of our stay. It quickly became our favourite beach. Palm trees provide some welcome shade and the windex-blue water makes... more »
Great long beach. Enjoyed a few days here whilst on holiday. Great for activities and families. There is a little food shack behind the beach that did cheap and delicious food and you could get... more »
A long beach to take walks past luxury hotels and enjoy a swim in the crystal clear water. All beaches are public on the island. more »
One of my favourite beaches I visited in Barbados and a gentleman called Spider will help you with all your food and drinks needs.
Clear blue water, no crowds, sections with no reef or stones, no waves (November). Perfect beach.
Love this stretch of the beach from just up the road from the Cliff restaurant where you can buy street food or freshly caught fish at a very reasonable price where there de bone it and cut it for you or across and just up the road is a garage and further up the road is the world famous One Sandy Lane which is where Rihanna has a property and where Simon Cowell and family spend Christmas and New year every year
Clear water and amazing white sand. Sea was the calmest out of all the beaches. Would get 5 stars if it wasn’t for the booze boats that rocked up for an hour disturbing the peace, haha I sound like an old man but the chilled vibes were rattled for a bit. Soon as the did one, it was back to tranquility. If you walk to the far end (right side facing sea) there’s a lady hiring out sun loungers who is awesome to talk to. She bosses about all the men who carry about the tables and parasols for her. Rihanna’s house is on the corner or just around it.
Lovely safe beach
