  • Learned a lot about the history of Barbados. Very traditional exhibits plus a video detailing the slave uprising. Only down side was waiting more than an hour for a bus back out to Rockley Beach.
  • Various small exhibitions that do not fit together. There was no real common thread that holds together the exhibits. It would have been interesting with more information about the buildings and how they are used. The Cubs got tired after 5 minutes. A few minutes later, even the adults fed up and decided to come up with something more exciting.

  • Quaint historical site for the traveling history buff. Very close to city and garrison.
  • Not really worth visiting. It doesn't seem like it's been updated since the 70s and there's no guided tour.
  • A must go too, very informative !!
  • Quite small - plan maybe a little over an hour - but with a good range of exhibits covering the history of the island and its inhabitants.
  • It's a modest, small, and intimist museum. However it gives a very good historical look at the island. Special note of the chattel house architecture. ****
