  • Saw it 20 years ago and much of the same stuff is exactly how it was 20 years ago. Some of the tags have faded and could be redone and that might give more of a feeling of pride. (Of course some of it...  more »
  • The museum is an ideal place to spend some time away from the heat outside and offers a valuable insight to the history of Barbados, with everything from slavery, culture and - of course - cricket!

  • Quaint historical site for the traveling history buff. Very close to city and garrison.
  • Not really worth visiting. It doesn't seem like it's been updated since the 70s and there's no guided tour.
  • A must go too, very informative !!
  • Quite small - plan maybe a little over an hour - but with a good range of exhibits covering the history of the island and its inhabitants.
  • It's a modest, small, and intimist museum. However it gives a very good historical look at the island. Special note of the chattel house architecture. ****
