  • Although not overly large, this museum is well-done, and provides a clear history of Barbados, including flora and fauna, exploration, colonization, slavery, and liberation. The exhibits are clearly.....  more »

  • Very informative and a great way to spend a rainy day. Really enjoyed looking through the windows seeing how their quarters would looked and the little steps were greatly appreciated for slightly height challenge person like myself. Only down side the first half of the museum was very hot which made it distracting I had to come out twice the heat was stifling, Thankfully the botanical room was not only informative it also had air conditioning which was thankful break from the heat. Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes over all it was good would have given 5 stars if it wasn't so hot.
  • Awesome Party. I had a blast. Apparently, every year, around this time of year they have celebration parties, and this one was jam packed with people. I had a great time. The definitely looking forward to going again when I visit.
  • This museum was a good place to visit to to see some of the history of Barbados. I was disappointed that my wife and I had to pay $10 a piece to visit a museum that we couldn't even take pictures of anything. Also, there were parts of the museum that were hotter than it was outside. The lady who worked the front desk was very nice and helpful.
  • If you're looking for a inexpensive way to experience Barbadian history and culture this is a great way. You can walk through the museums 7 galleries on your own or have a guided tour. It's also a beautiful spot to host weddings or other special events.
  • Learn of Barbados' history and people. Learn of the Arawaks and Caribs. You will also see the relics of a colonial past- the very location and building itself is situated within the UN world heritage site.
