Atlantis Submarines (Barbados) Inc is our registered name and we are incorporated as a local limited liability company in Barbados and a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlantis Submarines International (ASI) of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The company was incorporated in 1986. The submarine, which operated in Barbados from 1986 to 1995, was Atlantis II, a twenty eight-passenger submarine. Atlantis II was the second submarine ever built and the last one of its kind. Atlantis Barbados was the second site established by the head quarters. The official opening was celebrated on Feb 15th 1987 with a ceremony at the Waterfront cafe. After the submarine was decommissioned, the pilot console

was extracted and sits on display in the Reservations lounge.

Atlantis Barbados upgraded to a 48 passenger vessel in 1995 Atlantis III, the first 48 passenger ever built by the company and in 2008 we took receipt of a second 48 passenger submarine, Atlantis XV, the last one ever built by the company.

Both vessels are operating in Barbados.
Atlantis Submarines Barbados is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , world travel planner Edition.

  • Great experience that I’m happy to do again. The view underwater was stunning - my pictures really don’t do justice. The crew were hilarious! Lots of corny jokes 😂
  • This was a great way to spend the afternoon. Good for families or an afternoon date. The guys are knowledgable and entertaining. The ocean floor is beautiful and you get to see it
  • I was able to conquer my fear of water activities, by doing this tour solo on my first solo trip out the USA. Thanks to the captain and his crew for making feel as comfortable as possible even though I scare. Also thanks to the other tourist who kept me comfortable and calm as try to conquer my fear of the ocean/water activities. I would do visit this activity again on my next trip to Barbados and I highly recommend this experience to other it was absolutely amazing.
  • Lots of fun and very interesting. Only issue is value for price. Very expensive and they take your photo as a souvenir and then charge you for it on top of the cost. Crew is outstanding. Snorkeling trip may be a better value
  • Phenomenal Underwater Veiws, had a blast!!! It's amazing seeing how things change like colours with pressure and sea water, have recommended to others to try and they weren't disappointed
