Soup Bowl, Bathsheba

4.7
#12 of 25 in Beaches in Barbados
A surfer’s heaven, Soup Bowl features soft golden sand, boulders sticking out of the water just off shore, a scenic hillside abundant with palm trees, and consistent waves produced by the wild waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. The popular surf spot is home to annual international and local competitions. With some luck you’ll spot beach crabs making their way across the sand. Make sure you bring food, drinks, and plenty of sunscreen, as there are no public facilities at the beach. • Great place to find shells, some smaller pools to soak in and great viewing for surfers. Not for small kids but a great place to escape the crowds and get more untouched beauty.  more »
  • Definitely the place to visit. Nice scenic views, waves. The place is quiet as it is advice not to swim here due to waves and current. But you can always surf. Would recommend it just for the views.  more »
  • Not many people, other than the surfers trying to catch a wave. Exactly what I was looking for. Worth the visit, and go for a walk around the rock formations (when the tide is low).  more »
