  • It's a shame that you can't go near the parliament house like you used. But still, the area surrounding it is beautiful. Covered with treas and nicely bricked pavements. It's really nice to go for a jog around it or just casually walk beneath the tunnel like trees around Manik Mia Ave. And after the sun sets the place really comes to life with people who just come around and hang out with their friends and loved ones. Visiting the place during sunset is definitely worth it.
  • The beauty of building and construction... ... This is the Parliament of Bangladesh. This is the house of the Parliament of Bangladesh, located at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka. It is designed by architect Louis Kahn. It is one of the largest legislative complexes in the world, comprising 200 acres. Although entrance to the Bhaban, the Main Building, is limited to authorized members of Parliament and staff, the Jatiyo Sangshad complex is open to visitors. North of the complex, across the Lake Road, is Crescent Lake and Chandrima Uddan . The two complexes together form a major attraction for tourists in Dhaka. The complexes are popular among joggers and skaters of Dhaka. The official Prime Minister's Residence is on the North West corner of the Mirpur Road and Lake Road crossing and is a five-minute walk from the Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban. The area is one of the higher security zones of Dhaka. The Complex can be accessed using any of the four roads surrounding it, however, the Manik Mia Avenue and Lake Road are the easiest approaches.
