Patenga Beach, Chittagong City

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
1.8/5 based on 60 reviews on the web
Stroll along the flat bay of Patenga Beach, scattered with large chunks of concrete to deter erosion and lined sporadically with small huts or trees. Many street vendors sell ice creams and drinks but don't miss the chance to taste the area's speciality-- fried spicy mud crab served with falafel and vegetables. The beach is mostly enjoyed by locals who come to sit on the concrete slabs and pass the time looking out to the sea, as swimming is not recommended here. Visit in the evening for a vibrant atmosphere, and the chance to see beautiful sunsets and sunrises spreading across the horizon-- known as the best in Bangladesh. • This beach can be very crowded during holidays. So it is better if you avoid going there on holidays. The beach is ok, nothing breathtaking. So don't expect much.
  • I use to Patenga beach very frequently. Though the beaches is very crowded at most of time, I go there to enjoy seafish, and cheap speed boat drives.
  • If you go with the idea of visiting a beautiful beach, you better not move where these. It is a leisure zone ranging Bengalis on Fridays (especially in the afternoon) for walks, dark sediment water and hard sand beach. There are also mobile attractions. Surely before returning to the hotel, you open up invited to photos I was right with local people and your photo will be on Facebook. That if, very friendly and a lot people will ask you where you are. Going to a show (in its own way).
