  • Buddha Dhatu Jadi is a Theravada Buddhist temple which is on the way and is easy to get to. Much frequented by Buddhist pilgrims possesses the second Buddha statue for size in Bangladesh. Although it is a modern temple is notable for its golden architecture reminiscent of the temples of Southeast Asia.

  • An ancient Buddhist temple on a hilltop with spectacular views of the surroundings. The temple itself is a piece of beauty. Proper manners need to be maintained while visiting the area since its a praying zone for Buddhist people. You have to buy entry ticket costing 30 BDT per person (till date) and have to enter bare feet. No person is allowed to enter the premises with shorts or capri.
  • Nice place to visit. A Buddhist Temple. No shoes inside the place. Entry fee Tk 30/- per person. Car Tk 50. Instruction written to take no video. Looks great at the last lights of sun. Main entry photo taking is prohibited. Entry should be wide open. There is a shop at the entry making the entry narrow.

  • This holy place in Bandarban is known as the golden temple to the common people. Located just around 5 kilometers from the Bandarban town, this temple is easily accessible to the tourists. The temple is placed on top of a hill and the view from there is mesmerizing. A picturesque tourist hotspot to the travelers visiting Bandarban besides all those beautiful hills and waterfalls. It is a great place to visit. on the top of a mountain, go through hundreds of satires, then you will find the beautiful golden temple (Swarno mondir). the artifacts are magnificently beautiful. unfortunately now htey are not allowing tourists to visit this place. going to Bandarban again, next month, will try to visit one more time.

Where to stay in Bandarban

The town of Bandarban features a good number of inexpensive hotels in the market district, as well as slightly fancier (and pricier) options in the scenic spots, such as up close to the river. Head out of town to the south and you'll find one or two attractive and spacious resorts and simple guesthouses in the hill towns of the region. Most trips to Bandarban combine a stay in town and some time living out in the remoter areas.
