  • Parliament Square is serenely colorful. Our ship (along with 7 others) disembarked and flooded Nassau. But this was a serene setting at the end of the day.  more »

  • After exiting the cruise terminal, be sure to take a quick hike of a few blocks to Parliament Square. It is a very short walk from the terminal, head from the Terminal to East Bay Street in Downtown Nassau. These three beautiful, flamingo pink buildings, still house the Bahamian Government, some 200-plus years after their original construction. In the center of Parliament Square, is a statue dedicated to Queen Victoria (erected in 1905), the British Monarch, who the Bahamians held in high esteem. The brilliant architecture, colorful adornment of national bunting, and vibrant paint choices, make this a great opportunity to learn and snap some great travel shots.
