Cable Beach, Nassau

#1 of 249 in Outdoors in Bahamas
Beach · Nature / Park
Experience the soft white sand and pristine, clear waters of The Bahamas at Cable Beach. The long, crescent-shaped beach invites visitors to bask in the sun’s rays, take a refreshing dip, or head snorkeling and discover the underwater world. Grab a bite or drink from many bars and restaurants as you take in views over the Caribbean Sea. Bring plenty of sunscreen as there is minimal natural shade at the beach. • Beautiful and peaceful. There were many people and you had to be careful. However, we had a great time. A group of us were together and it was a beautiful experience. We walked all over the beach and we really enjoyed it. The water was crystal clear and georgous. Perfect.
  • Beautiful place. If you visit during a Bank Holiday, the Hotels open up their private beaches, and you get to meet Bahamian locals, who are very friendly and a lot of fun.I do find it very strange indeed that the locals are restricted from using so many of the beaches during the day though.A big part of travelling anywhere for me is to experience the culture, and the the best way to do that is by meeting, talking to and perhaps having a drink with those who live and work there.Imagine how the Cornish would feel if they were told they could not use their beaches in the summer because they were reserved for Tourists. It put me off ever returning in fact, which is a shame because these Islands, the Beaches and the gorgeous deep blue seas are simply stunning. I Pray that the people and these beautiful Islands recover from the recent Storms..
  • Who said this was one of the most beautiful beaches in Nassau? The beach is small. Very very small. The sand is OK but not that beautiful. The water is ordinary.. make sure you don't have high expectation. I assure you.
  • Great beach, loved my short 4 day trip
  • Small, clean and friendly. The guys there went to the store and purchased beer for us.
