French Leave Beach, Governor's Harbour
(4.7/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Take some time out to relax at French Leave Beach, a long stretch of white and pink coral-flecked sand leading to turquoise waters. The soft sand makes it an ideal location for barefoot walks along the shore, or for stretching out with a good book and a refreshing drink. While the water is not always totally calm, if your visit coincides with favorable conditions, you can explore the colorful coral and variety of fish underwater. Plan to see French Leave Beach and other attractions that appeal to you using our Eleuthera travel itinerary planner.

  • Extremely rough water with strong undercurrent. The waves crash midway so you will get hitLots of garbage washing on the shoreline. Not a lot of actual beach. NOT FOR CHILDREN.
  • This was my first pink sand beach. It was a beautiful at the one on Harbor Island. If you go here be sure to stop at Tippy's for a drink or something to eat.
