  • I can't say enough good things about this trip. Anton, CJ and Lex were first class guides from beginning to end. Safety is first and foremost on their priority list, as it should be. After the safety....  more »

  • I didn't personally book the excursion our group took so I can't really shed light on the booking process itself. We scheduled an entire day excursion on a private charter for a group of ten people. An employee picked all ten of us up at our Airbnb, but our van broke down 3/4 of the way to the dock. We were quickly picked up by another Aquaquest van with the same destination. It seems you can make as many or as little stops as you'd like, you just have to mention as to which ones you're interested in when booking and they'll give you an estimate. I noticed that there were also mixed group charters as well in case you're just two or three people not trying to pay for a private excursion. We made about 7 stops (the swimming pigs, iguana island, sea turtle feeding, swimming with nurse sharks, snorkeling the tunderball grotto, and a stop at a sandbar to name a few) and the day ended with a lunch that isn't included in the excursion fee. You will also need an additional $10 cash for the nurse sharks. Every stop we made was absolutely amazing and completely worth it. I would suggest maybe booking a few less stops though because you're only at one stop maybe 15/20mins before you have to load back onto the boat to ride for the next if you have a lot to get to. I would definitely say more time is spent traveling in the high-speed boat than anything else. And when I say high-speed, I mean it. We loved our experience and the two employees who assisted us that day but you must be comfortable with the wild ride you will take. Bring cash, towels, sunscreen, and water shoes. You may want to bring some dry clothing though also because eventually by the end being wet mixed with the high-speed wind may chill you. Snacks and water are a must to keep your energy up because all they provide is a small bag of chips and limited drinks. Aquaquest also drops you back off at your lodging spot at the end of the day.
