  • Nice to walk around and shop. Nothing crazy but still cool since it was across the street from our resort. If already in the area doesn't hurt to walk around :-)  more »

  • Great if you're looking for a bar, or trying to buy a truck load of souvenirs in the middle of the afternoon. There's nothing else to do here. There are maybe 3 good restaurants, 1 ice cream shop, 1 over priced pharmacy. How many souvenirs can one buy? It's really just row after row of shops selling identical items. Good for a ten minute stroll. Everything closes by 6pm. Not worth visiting unless u really can't find a single souvenir t-shirt elsewhere.
  • It was amazing to walk through a Caribbean marketplace like this and have it be so empty. Freeport and Port Lucaya were not busy at all and therefore made for some great photos and shopping and dining experiences. The people were all very friendly! Eat at the little yellow fish shack that Daddy Brown works from right beside the marina... amazing Conch!
  • Lots of fun if you are looking for a simple and affordable place to visit from your cruise ship. they have tons of taxis to get you here very cheap. The place is colorful and vibrant. street performers (bring some pocket change/cash) and people to do your hair, along with shops and places to eat. Go to the stand where they do the coconut drinks, they cut the coconut right in front of you! Our family had some great conch soup at Zorbas. The stores do have a lot of imported goods, but if you look around you will find hand-made local stuff, especially carved or woven goods. Bring a swim suit, a very short walk away from a free public beach (playa) . the beach wasn't crowded either.
  • there's a chocolate place there, made from scratch, and also offers summer courses for kids. the Chocopino a cross between cappuccino and frozen chocolate. Heaven, you must try that!
  • A lot of shops. Nice place to just hang out. Daddy browns fresh seafood booth amazing experience
