Marina Nature / Park
As the hub for Grand Bahama, Port Lucaya Marina offers the chance to admire the boats, or even charter one and take a tour around the island. Many companies offer glass-bottomed boat trips and snorkeling trips from this site. Walk along the port to observe the multi-million dollar yachts, or check out Port Lucaya Marketplace to pick up locally made products as well as international brands for souvenirs. During the evening you'll discover live music outdoors, so you can be entertained while sampling some of the area's seafood. • If you are stopping here on a cruise, do not have your hopes up! This was by far the most disappointing stop in the Bahamas. Freeport is a very industrial port and island. Not much to do here at all but seems like it is on many stops for cruises. I think a lot of the boats refuel here.
  • Loved it! The cruise was amazing and the beach near Freeport is formidable!
  • Nice
  • Place for lots of fun...go for it...
  • Fortunately there is Port Lucaya in Freeport because it is all you will see across the island. This island is completely empty and dangerous. This place is very nice but the animation doesn't start until late afternoon. The pace of life is very strange here. In addition, everything or almost pays in cash, by credit card. So is there a lot of cash to survive on the island. An experience that I will not repeat. On the other hand, Port Lucaya is worth the visit if you are already on the island.
