Count Basie Square, Freeport
(3.4/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
Get to the heart of Bahamian cultural life at Count Basie Square, a public plaza hosting live music events in the evenings. By day, explore the stores, restaurants, and bars surrounding the peaceful square. Do a little souvenir shopping, and then refuel at one of the varied eateries. After dark, the plaza transforms into a hub of local entertainment. The speakers here get turned up loud, so be prepared to be a little overwhelmed at first. Arrange to visit Count Basie Square and other attractions in Grand Bahama Island using our Grand Bahama Island travel itinerary maker.

  • They will barter a bit, but like to follow you and try to get you in there booth like any other market. All were very nice I felt safe would of went here by myself and not thought anything about it. P...  more »
  • Great local shops to shop at and huts to try local foods. Non pressure to buy or stop and see and just very relaxing. A must see
