Dean's Blue Hole, Clarence Town

#1 of 8 in Things to do in Long Island
The world's deepest known salt water blue hole, Dean's Blue Hole is a spectacular sight and yours to explore from land or water. A deep abyss plunges 202 m (663 ft) into the ocean's bed within a calm turquoise lagoon, a memorable spot for snorkelling and a beautiful site from the surrounding cliffs. Snow white sands surround the bay and lead to the dramatic underwater drop, its diameter starting at around 30 m (98.4 ft) and after a short descent widening to a cavernous 100 m (328 ft) mouth. Within the twinkling depths, shoals of tarpon, ray, and seahorse play as you make your way through this eerily mesmerising natural wonder. • This truly one of the natural wonders of the world. A visit to the Bahamas is not complete without a visit to DBH
  • One of the most beautiful and awe inspiring things you will ever see!
  • Incredible view and awesome swimming spot if you are visiting the Bahamas. It's a very short drive on some very rough roads but is well worth it and if you're lucky you may see a Marlin swimming up from the depths.
  • Is incredible how easy is to find any information with google
  • There is a trail that passes over top the hill above the hole. Did I also mention there's a small cave along the way... just big enough to crawl into
