  • I don't usually write reviews but this was a particularly disappointing experience. The Big Game Club gets two stars mainly for the scope of the facilities they have: 1) good clean pool; 2) restaurant/bar; 3) lounge; 4) convenience store; 5) diving excursions with nice crew; 6) marina; 7) outdoor games; 8) conference room and 9) fairly well maintained buildings and landscapes. That's where the 'good' ends though. There is no direct beach access, so you will need to exit the club and walk through Alice Town yourself to find the beach on the other side of the island. There is trash everywhere on the side of the roads and in abandoned yards. There is a fair amount of rubbish and glass on the beach. I have no idea what the "Lounge" is for since we never saw it open the week we were there. The service in the restaurant is a disaster, even by Caribbean standards. There doesn't appear to be any food options so we ate almost every meal for a week there. Almost every item not ordered rare was overcooked. They consistently bring you the wrong order. (As an example, one night my wife ordered the daily fish special with a salad and sauteed vegetables. They brought her the fish with rice/beans and fried plantains. Another time we ordered coffee with our breakfast. It never came.) Unfortunately, the service is so slow and the wait for your food so long, that by the time it comes, you don't want to complain and wait another 30 min. to an hour to get your meal. They include a mandatory 18% gratuity on your tab so there's no interest, apparently, in improving the service. And by the way, your dinner meal starts at about $25 and goes to more than $35 each...so you are REALLY paying through the nose for what is, at best, just edible. Several times I was waiting for the check so long with no sign of the wait staff that I nearly walked out. Not enjoyable at all. The rooms are just passable...depending on how picky you are. As usual in the Caribbean, the ACs can't keep up with dehumidifying your room. There was a stale musty smell when we first got in. One of the other reviewers complained about the concrete floors but, frankly, carpet would have made the whole problem much worse. There is a sisal rug in the room but, really, it would have been better without it. Depending on what room you are in, there is a fair amount of noise from the road behind and some sort of power plant or something on the other side. At least once there was a day-long loss of water (supposedly all over the island) and there was at least one other guest that had bugs in their room. All this disappointment will run you ~ $200 US/night. I'm hoping there are better options for my next visit to Bimini (if there is a next visit). If not, it seems somebody surely has a great business opportunity here .... just open a restaurant outside the gates that has decent food and decent service!!
  • Very relaxing. Clean, and people are really friendly.
  • This resort is centrally located and a quick walk from the ferry. The rooms were not what we expected - concrete floors with some kind of floor "rug" that felt like tiny Legos on your bare feet. The bed was lopsided - the kind of bed that will make your arms fall asleep while you sleep - and the furtinure is super used. For the price, we expected a higher quality. However, the store, restaurant, and front office were great and the staff were amazing. The pool was beautiful too. The fishing docks were in great condition - clean and well maintained.
  • For this cruiser, a marina has one job. To provide a nice shower. That's worth a hundred bucks for us. During this stay there has been no hot water in the men's shower, and no water at all in the women's shower. The staff told me they don't know why. Sorry, fail.
  • Only here for lunch. Service was slow even by Caribbean standards , burger was cooked to a charcoal briquette, and black flies were a plague. Oh, and it's over priced. Burger and one beer $26. On the plus side, nice view but ever place in Bimini has a nice view. So overall really not worth a visit.
