Flame Towers, Baku

4.5
Illuminated by screens of more than 10,000 LED lights, Flame Towers transform the city's skyline with their visual spectacle. Completed in 2012, the modern tower complex consists of three curvy edifices, designed to display moving flames visible across the city. Inside, the towers are home to many business and residential facilities, including luxury apartments, a hotel, a shopping mall, office blocks, and observation decks. Climb the top of the buildings to enjoy a panoramic view of the urban area and shoreline. • 3 flame-shaped towers nightly enlightened in many shapes and colors. Israel's independence day, Israel flag alight. Architectural creation.

  • The towers stand out because they are tall and completely unlike the rest of the city, although I note a lot of new interesting buildings are being built on the waterfront. The best places to view the...  more »
  • Almost always and everywhere you can see the flame towers, great architecture in contrast to the old town and the neo-classical style trappings. Very nice to the Sundowner: the 360 bar at the Hilton Hotel overlooks the cream on the Bay & the towers.

  • Jazz club, Cinema But you can't go up the towers
  • Flame Towers (Azerbaijani: Alov qüllələri) is a trio of skyscrapers in Baku, Azerbaijan, including the tallest in the country, with a height of 182 m. The buildings consist of apartments, a hotel and office blocks. Construction began in 2007, with completion in 2012. HOK was the architect for the project, DIA Holdings served as the design-build contractor, and Hill International provided project management. The Flame Towers consist of three buildings: South, East and West. The facades of the three Flame Towers function as large display screens with the use high-power LED luminaires, supplied by the Osram subsidiary Traxon Technologies and Vetas Electric Lighting. On June 2014 Lamborghini opened its first branch in Azerbaijan, located on the ground floor of the East tower of the Flame Towers.
  • Modern symbol of baku
  • The buildings are impressive, but what is really overwhelming is the night view of this twin towers. The movie one can watch on the tower's facades worth the effort and is hard to find a similar 3D-show elsewhere...
  • These 3 buildings dominate the Baku skyline and you can see them from almost anywhere. They are particularly striking at night with the light show. The best spot to view them is Highland park which is actually close to the buildings but you get a great view of them and downtown Baku. If you have a ton of money you can stay there as well.
