Dagustu Park, Baku

4.7
#3 of 25 in Parks in Azerbaijan
Dagustu Park offers reportedly the best panoramic views of the city and the bay. You can reach the park by climbing a long flight of stairs or by taking a scenic ride on a funicular, which is free of charge. A cafe on the top boasts an observation terrace from which you can enjoy the breeze and see Baku's engineering masterpieces Flame Towers, or head on to the Martyrs' Lane--a memorial to Azerbaijani people killed by Soviet troops in 1990. Put Dagustu Park into our Baku road trip planning app and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • With an excellent view of the city's Park café, benches for rest and is must-visit when I go up to visit the towers.

  • "Mountainous Park" opens the best view of the city. the arc of Baku Bay. In the colder months here quite windy. "Park" is certainly loud told here more viewing area.

  • Looking for a hotel-only costs 1 monat. You may have to wait a little while to go upstairs. The climb is interesting, but very quickly. At the top of the Park and the magnificent panorama of Baku. You can see near the Fiery towers. Down down the stairs, I advise not to go back and not have to wait. The best place in Baku! Be sure to visit.

  • The best view of the city is here. You can see all seaside environment and almost all city, personally I love the fire on top of here but reaching this place is a little hard, I usually using Uber for reaching here. You can't find any good restaurant or cafe here, be aware of that. Here is windy too, cover your self with something warm.
  • Such a beautiful day in park Go when you have more time to fresh up
  • Best view of Baku and its seemingly ever growing skyline. Haven't been there at night unfortunately but it must be quite spectacular.
  • Amazing view Funicular ride must be tried Five star
  • Nothing too special but it seems like a really nice place

Where to stay in Baku

Baku's emphasis on architectural diversity--and its fondness for constructions that put all previous buildings to shame--has yielded a range of accommodations. Look no further than the waterfront high-rises for contemporary luxury, or take a peek at the more storied surrounding boulevards for 19th-century class, with grand hotels and stylish boutiques set in Baroque and neoclassical buildings. A smattering of budget-friendly hostels and guesthouses lies throughout the city, particularly on side streets close to the main attractions and train stations.
