Crystall Hall, Baku

4.6
#5 of 7 in Outdoors in Azerbaijan
Built to host Europe's biggest and oldest song contest, Crystall Hall remains the largest indoor venue in the country. The construction of the arena was carried out by a German company and completed in nine months--just in time for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. From afar, the building looks like a string of massive crystals. At night, the structure resembles a huge transparent diamond. The arena can accommodate 25,000 people. • Were in Baku (December-January 2017) and naturally went to look at the Crystall Hall, located on the square of State flag. "Crystal Hall" (sport-concert complex) built in the year 2012 to hold international events. The first Junior Eurovision Song Contest held here-2012. This beautiful creation of German Architects fits perfectly into the surrounding space, and proximity to a huge national flag gives him some special significance. Crystal Hall holds up to 25,000 spectators. Illumination of the façade is simply a work of art that is hard to describe, but should see their eyes! In Crystal Hall with their concerts performed international stars, such as Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna. Here at various times conducted and various sporting activities-basketball, volleyball, fencing, karate, boxing and taekwondo.

  • Walking along the promenade, we reached the Crystal Hall. This concert hall is located on the seafront at the national flag square. This is a very beautiful and modern building, it looks very impressive and night due to the backlight. Crystall Hall seen from afar. Eurovision Song Contest was held here, as well as a variety of European competition games. This month here acted f. Kirkorov. If you walk along the promenade, notice the Crystal Hall. Winter on the waterfront very windy, we froze. So dress warmly.

  • Wonderful facility, stunning venue, which since opening decorate the stars of world music and, within the precincts of which, I hope, 27 April to hear all of your beloved peerless Eros Ramazzotti)

Where to stay in Baku

Baku's emphasis on architectural diversity--and its fondness for constructions that put all previous buildings to shame--has yielded a range of accommodations. Look no further than the waterfront high-rises for contemporary luxury, or take a peek at the more storied surrounding boulevards for 19th-century class, with grand hotels and stylish boutiques set in Baroque and neoclassical buildings. A smattering of budget-friendly hostels and guesthouses lies throughout the city, particularly on side streets close to the main attractions and train stations.
