  • Beautiful monastery from the 13th century, located on a rocky hill about 40 km from Stepanakert. The church named "Cathedral St John the Baptist" remained intact, offices are held there regularly on weekends and the garden that surrounds the monument offers on the right side of the Church of the ancient cross stones. We must absolutely visit the exhibition of manuscripts in the building located on the left side of the Church and which conceals many works richly illuminated dating from the 13th century. You can also see a showcase dedicated to Napoleon Bonaparte with his autograph. This exhibition was created very recently. Finally, at the back of the monument, you have a magnificent view over the Valley that allows you to make beautiful pictures of the landscape. In short, a must.
