Zillertal Arena, Zell im Zillertal

(4.6/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
The largest ski area in the surrounding valley region, Zillertal Arena offers a wealth of options for snow activities. Grab your skis or snowboard and hit the slopes on some of the site's 163 km (101 mi) of pistes and runs. The resort can handle many guests, thanks to its 50 ski lifts that carry you to the runs' starting points. As you carve up the powder and blaze down the trails, you'll be surrounded by sweeping mountain scenery, alpine forests, and the occasional glimpse of the valley opening up below. Don't miss trying the facility's popular "ski movie" slope, where you can film your performance, clock your time, and improve your skills for your next race or run. Out of season, try your hand at paragliding to get an even better view of the area. • Zilletal Arena is a ski resort, or there is something for everyone. The highlight is the new Coaster to use for those who do not ski. The après-ski is perfect in the Tyrolean atmosphere from the point of view of music and drinks.

  • Been there with kids, naturally they've loved the coaster, couldn't get them to stop. The playground is super nice for little kids. Clean, organised, nice loungers for parents to watch the kids.
  • Excellent ski area, well maintained, and with good pricing for ski passes. Avoid during poor visibility due to insufficient signage.
  • Great many slopes can be found here for every ski style. Also lots of restaurants and vibrant after ski at the base station.
  • Huge ski resort, good variety of pistes, not the best for beginners though
  • A little crowded but it's still nice.
