#3 of 27 in Winter Sports in Salzburg Region
Picturesquely stacked along a hill sits the popular lakeside town and ski resort of Zell Am See. On the slopes you'll find 138 km (85 mi) of skiing and snowboarding runs, suitable for all skill levels. The hills are complete with a fun park, children's area, off-piste areas, and plenty of powder to appeal to free-riders and freestylers. After the experiencing the hills, enjoy the après ski activities or unwind at the spa. Try out other winter sports, too, like tobogganing, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, ski touring, and Nordic walking. If you've worked up an appetite, explore the town's abundance of modestly priced restaurants. • Cell is on the Lake in the summer full of tourists. And in cell, these tourists mainly consist of visitors from Saudi Arabia and the Emirates. That was known to me from the press, but I had thought the true extent not possible. I condemn any form of racism, but it takes the Austrian edge much of the genuine flair, when about two-thirds to three-fourths of the guests come from a completely different culture, which is obviously based on the full veiling of women also each layman. In some places you can sit as individual European tourist in shorts and a T-Shirt, loud families, whose women have only slits in the full-body veil as contact with the outside world. Locals in Marrakech must feel, which are overrun by Western tourists including scantily veiled women. Objectively, there is no problem, but it's still a tart culture shock. Maybe the abroad but yes to the home countries to introduce little social progress. Travel is Yes. Some younger women full concealment is waived in the case already fashionable headscarves and run not behind their husbands, but in addition to them. Some young couples hold even hands. Perhaps they come only from the more tolerant countries or regions. Can't hurt it but, if European vacation places to live in equality and tolerance. Bottom line: who expected an Austrian vacation spot in cell, which is wondering. You can get the feel of an oasis from 1000 and one night in the middle of the Alps. You should have seen this. Personally I feel to the place too foreign.
