  • Nice but very short. Strudel was very delicious (one of the better!) and the show was kind of fun to see. The show lasted 15 minutes. Every hour there is a show and you can choose whether you want a small piece of strudel + show (6 euros) or a great piece with tea or coffee + show (11.50 euro). With the advertising voucher that you can catch above (the show is down below) you get 10% discount on the price. However, this applies only if you have a great piece with tea or coffee ordered. This is not mentioned in the small print or the like. Very tasty Apple Strudel and in the end you get the recipes. Be nice for in between as break!

  • It is all very well to understand how the true apple strudel is made and also the pastry chef puts much effort. Needless to say that the explanation is only in English and German

  • The show takes place in the basement of the restaurant Residenz Schoenbrunn. Lasts about twenty minutes, sessions take place every hour from 11-00 to 16-00. At the entrance stands a banner, so that hardly miss. If you have plans to try the Viennese apple strudel, it is possible to combine business with pleasure. There are two pricing options: 10.5 euro-show and a regular piece of Strudel and 6.5 euro shows and half a piece. The second option, by the way, included free in Vienna Pass. The show is a typical amusement for tourists: unroll ready-made dough and wrap it finished stuffing along the way telling the recipe. Watching the action and drink coffee/tea/cocoa with strudel. Quite easily twenty minutes. After the show, you can purchase the ingredients for making goodies, as well as at the exit take a card with the recipe, including Russian. The show itself is in German and English.

  • Great little show. The right place to relax a bit during a day of sightseeing. The beautiful vaulted explains when a good piece of Apple Strudel and coffee like this ideal is prepared one. Really liked us 👍

  • A real Viennese apple strudel how to actually? That is answered here. First it goes down in a nice vaulted cellar and there is then even the nice lady behind the counter, who later tells us how it's done. Advance there is ever a piece for each participant to try - how should you know otherwise later what it really tastes like? The ambience is really cool, it can correctly track one, as it has produced the best strudel of at that time here more or less for the Highnesses. Also, you can buy the ingredients here immediately. Then we go and get on German and English explains how it's really done. Of course I will not explain the trick, but it is worthwhile in any case to look at the show, for example while waiting for the admission to the Castle. At the end you can take with of course the recipe itself, is out for free at the output and there is even a whirlpool hotline. If you so still do not get it, the nice ladies in the bakery can of course help one on the phone. Very much recommended.

Where to stay in Vienna

As a former imperial capital, Vienna is full of lavish hotels reminiscent of the city’s royal past. If you’re traveling on a budget, it’s not hard to find hotels for a more affordable price. Consider staying in the Innere Stadt, or First District, if you only have a short time in town, as you’ll be within easy walking distance to many of the city’s main tourist attractions. Outside of the central core, Leopoldstadt, or Second District, lines the Danube and offers peaceful walks through tree-lined paths. For shopaholics, Mariahilf, or Sixth District, is a central neighborhood with busy shopping streets and lively markets.
