The Baroque exterior of St. Peter's Church conceals architectural treasures inside. The interior of this Roman Catholic church features exquisite golden stucco, pews adorned with cherubic heads, and striking gold and silver statues. Built between 1701 and 1733, the church's ornate construction includes the work of many artists. Once inside, notice the frescoes in the turreted dome. Around the dome, examine depictions of the four evangelists and four fathers of the church. Enjoy the detailing on the gilded ornate pulpit and the golden representation of the Holy Trinity above. • The Church is beautiful inside, well loaded with information that does not conflict. I entered her close to 15 hours and was having an organ, was chilling. It's worth taking a walk to her.

  • Just down the street from St. Stephens Church, this relatively small church had the most exquisite decor and art work of most any church I have visited. A must see for all travelers to Wien.
  • having the hotel close I tried several times to get into, at different times of the day, but is almost always closed ... you have to go near the mass time or when there are concerts

  • The inside of this church is very beautiful. If you sign onto its wifi site you can get an amazing detailed account of all if it's figures and paintings. Your own private tour.
  • Beautiful church hidden between the buildings in the center of Vienna! I saw the cuppula from afar and walked until I found the entire church!
  • Not as big as the nearby St. Stephen's Cathedral, but inspiring in its own right - enter and be amazed. With a beautiful turreted dome and gold pretty much everywhere you look, definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
  • Probably a 4 really, but as one of the only free things to see in Vienna, it gets the extra star. Small and compact, this church is really a gem.
  • Yes, it's magnificent, but I've been there many times and it's always overly crowded with tourists taking pictures in all directions. Too stressful for me.
