  • Built a few months after the end of World War II, the Memorial consists of a large columned backdrop and a main column, topped by a statue of a soldier, and a plinth on which is written a phrase in Cyrillic glorifying glory of the fallen Red Army that liberated Vienna. The Memorial is located not far from the Belevedere in a very nice neighborhood (near is the Embassy of France), which is why it's worth then do one visit.
