  • In fact, the "Scottish" monastery was founded by Henry II in 1155 year and built the Irish brothers. The modern look of the monastery complex has been preserved since the 19th century. The monastery Museum is worth a visit for the sake of the old Gothic altarpiece "Meister des Wiener Schottenaltars" and several works by Rubens.

  • Even in 1155, Scots scholars got everywhere!........ We were there 1805. worth a visit on a rainy day.
  • The Museum is a pleasant surprise. It depends on my mood straight is not Vienna, and some northern, strict. It is sold. Stayed there for a few hours. A whole lot on religious topics. Many great paintings of the medieval craftsmen.
