  • Excellent effort to maintain Schubert's house and turn it into a museum. Though there weren't many customers at the time of our visit. A nice piece of characterful history in remembrance of an iconic ...  more »
  • One corner of the building facing the main street on the second floor is a museum. Larger was used as a residence smaller classes taught by his father as the family rented a room for two different sizes of the second floor. Is currently being showcased include copy of the piano, her glasses, sheet music and portrait exhibit is as long as only the lonely. Father is responsible for part of his childhood at cello, Franz second violin to Viola was done as a post House ensemble said. So did not try to understand that even though students of the Department of philosophy, University of Vienna was that his father, Franz aimed at musicians.

  • House-Museum of Schubert, in which the composer was born and lived the first four and a half years of his life, is located north of the Centre, just north of the Palace of Lichtenstein and approximately one kilometre from Jozefinuma. Small House, I would say, rustic, despite the fact that it is already "deeply" within the boundaries of present-day Vienna. Get the easiest way (if laziness go on foot, although the walk of the center of sightseeing to attractions quite feasible, though it will take half an hour) trams 37 or 38 from Metro "Šottentor" to "Kaniziusgasse".
