  • Worth a quick visit to the variety of animals that are there. Although keeping wild animals in captivity leave me doubtful, see how it is handled and the effort of employees for the maintenance and reproduction of endangered animals (like the polar bear), I do see the matter from a positive point of view. Well done!

  • A great Zoo. A large collection of various animals, birds, reptiles, etc. All animals appear well-fed and well-groomed. Still liked what the Zoo tried to recreate Habitat Wednesday for each species in order to make their stay comfortable enough. It is clear that captivity is never a substitute for freedom, but still. At the Zoo in addition to classic elephants, rhinos, hippos, etc. There are also fairly rare animals such as pandas, Anteaters and other. Really liked it. For information: children up to 6 children free admission. Ticket for adult in District 18 euros. Animals fed at certain times and this process very often turns into a small series (in particular enjoyed feeding sea lions). Very interesting.

  • The + old zoo in the world is worth a visit. There are still some original structures, which gives a rare historical character. Located in the Park of Schönbrunn Palace. If not all the animals are waiting. Careful not flat, which has the advantage to offer views of the Schönbrunn Castle from the top of the enclosure of monkeys.

  • One of the oldest zoo's in the world. It has a great collection of animals, birds and reptiles. Be prepared to spend an entire day here seeing everything from an Arctic wolf to a polar bear to a panda to an African elephant. Don't forget to try the food from the tasty food stands that are littered about the zoo. Post the zoo visit hike up the hill to watch a beautiful sunset.
  • This is a very good zoo. I wouldn't say it's the best in the world but they raised the bar a lot. First of all it's a clean, spacious, well equipped and kids ready zoo. Good for families to spend the whole day or a bunch of hours here. Not long queues, a lot of places to rest and eat and open areas. Second, there are a wide variety of animals and looks like they care for the welfare of them. Even tho I think there's room for improvement here. Some animals have plenty of space to move around but not all of them. Finally they are building new areas and improving the zoo, which is good and goes away from the image of decadent zoos I see sometimes. In my opinion this zoo can be improved trying to give more room and more accurate replicate the natural habitat of the animals, and putting the humans more in cages as mere spectator of the wild life. Right now feels more like the other way around.
  • An absolutely amazing zoo and we'll worth the visit and fee to enter. This Zoo stands up to its reputation as the world's first zoo. Walking around the park was very easy and its design is well thought out. The animals seem to be cared for very well. The habitats are nice but some need restructuring for more space. There is a foot path which takes you above the park; you're able to see much of Vienna while walking across a suspended type walking path and the views are beautiful. Getting there is extremely easy and do prepare to arrive early and stay all day. You'll have a very nice time with family and/or friends.
  • Situated near Schönbrunn Palace, Tiergarten Schönbrunn is the oldest and the most beautiful Zoo in Europe. This is one of the few zoos in the world where you can see giant pandas. There is a rain forest house, an aquarium and an Arctic region as well. Enjoy the giraffes, penguins and elephants, as well as all other beautiful animals.
  • My wife and I had annual passes and visited often. The polar bear is a big highlight ans he normally shows off by running at the windows. It was also very cool to watch the cubs grow up. Food around the place is also quite nice.
