  • I can understand that there are good reviews to this 'Museum', if you to the still wasn't at Zotter, because otherwise here hardly anyone would write a well. In the night of museums 2016 my wife and I have lifted extra Chocolate Museum by Heindl us for last, because our expectations through our now annual visits to Zaman were quite high – unfortunately that expectation was clearly too high to Heindl and We were disappointed. When we arrived at Heindl was allowed to be exactly 1 Schokobanane (it has counted down). Then in the vestibule was a clown has now entertain the children with tricks to bypass the wait until it was allowed in the "Schokokino". In the Schokokino only the family Heindl will basically look beweihräuchert, really something / learn about the origins of chocolate or they are not doing even the cocoa farmers works with Hamdan here however. A few visitors are even asleep during the 10 minutes adulation. It runs much better competitor. After the show, one (!) were individually per person Distributed type Lindor ball fake and you could participate in a competition. In the museum itself, there was a small scent station directly to the guess what what smells like. Then went 30 m it felt just from where a few devices will be shown in the display case - in addition to get 1(!) Piece broken chocolate (depending on luck) as large as 1 or 2 piece of a Board. Then there's some barely held information about chocolate (actually only mini puzzles with answer without explanation), and finally again a few devices. Thus, the tour (10 min cinema, 10 min Museum) is also gone. At the end there's still 1(!) Piece of chocolate and then one is asked in the shop next door, where there are 10% off everything "only today". In the shop, we were also short, where we bought nothing. Reason: I was so naughty and have lifted the shield with the discounted prices. Directly below was a price tag with the date of the previous day. The price was exactly the same as the supposedly discounted by the day of the visit - so no discount. Completely disappointed, have we finally finished the day and unfortunately can not recommend a visit.

  • At the entrance to the Vienna Prater is located the Museum of chocolate to the Heindl.C family ' is maybe the best chocolate in the world. Many specialties (the Viennese Classic, maroni, chocolate balls, truffles, nougat, frozen fun, delicious Austria... Games for kids, chocolate paintings, of course the history of cocoa and entertainment for big and petitsJeconseille strongly this chocolate that you will find in the heart of Vienna near the Stephanplatz but not only. Enter without hesitation the chocolates are fresh and melt in the mouth and of course excellent. It is probably the best chocolate factory of Austria. I recommend the Rehrucken exclusive Gutscheine schokonews and the Geburtstags

  • Description was in English as well so you don't need to speak German, they offer free samples from the factory (honestly the best part 😅) basically nice educative tour while always eating some chocolate. And the service at the desk was just awesome, kind and helpful. Recommended this.
  • An absolute waste of time, to put it bluntly. I'm glad the place is included with the NÖ Card, because if I had had to pay for the thing out of pocket I would have felt pretty dumb. The movie was sort of interesting, but nothing particularly noteworthy. The displays would have felt more at home if these were the 80s, I guess. The worst part, by a mile, was the factory. You can basically look at the employees working, although you are separated by a glass wall, which kind of makes it feel like a human zoo. This was the feeling the friend I was with also had. It felt awkward and wrong, like we were making an inspection of prisoners. We both agreed that we wouldn't and couldn't work under such conditions, which we found to be demeaning. The place is also pretty out of the way. There is simply nothing about it that would compel me to recommend visiting the SchokoMuseum.
  • Nice! A little short but you get to taste some pretty good stuff :) recommended anytime because it's not really crowded. Fun for kids.
  • For the lover of chocolates, a must visit! You will see tge chocolate production lines and taste some of its finest over few euro entrance fee.
  • Small, not worth the money. Only had 5 different kid friendly chocolate samples, as well as 3 chocolate fountains with nothing to dunk in them but a spoon. Given it was the weekend the production line was not moving, but they still charged full admittance price. Waste of time.

Where to stay in Vienna

As a former imperial capital, Vienna is full of lavish hotels reminiscent of the city’s royal past. If you’re traveling on a budget, it’s not hard to find hotels for a more affordable price. Consider staying in the Innere Stadt, or First District, if you only have a short time in town, as you’ll be within easy walking distance to many of the city’s main tourist attractions. Outside of the central core, Leopoldstadt, or Second District, lines the Danube and offers peaceful walks through tree-lined paths. For shopaholics, Mariahilf, or Sixth District, is a central neighborhood with busy shopping streets and lively markets.
