  • This is definitely not one of the most visited Museum in Vienna but we found it very interesting. You don't need a reservation and at the entrance there is a wardrobe. Directions to start the tour aren't too clear but once you enter the path you remain truly speechless in front of a large collection of musical instruments of all kinds. There is also a small interactive room where you can try the piano models that make you see how these tools and hear their sound distinctly. You can take pictures without flash.

  • I love the musical instruments portion of this museum.
  • Beautiful architecture flanked by other buildings of similar style. Most people wouldn't go in, as I noticed that most tourists would simply take a picture here and leave.
  • Hofburgskuju collection of ancient instruments (Sammlung alter Musikinstrumente) can be called unique. In addition to classic recognizable samples here exhibited such artifacts that I previously did not have to see: orfika, rejseklavikord, Cembalo, harmony, the organistrum. " Voices of many instruments were recorded and play in special headphones. I managed to get an impression of the sound of the rarest instances.
