  • Listen to Mozart and Strauss works on this site made me summarize my stay. Nowhere in the world I realized the balses until I heard them one night in December, and snowed out. A Chamber Orchestra bristled me hairs with your music, accompanied by singers and dancers when the piece required it

  • We attended a classical music concert at the Palais Auersperg in Vienna. There were only about 100 of us and we were in a music room off of the main stage. There were ten musicians, a soprano, bariton...  more »

  • Three stars for the location. This is a really bare bones function room. The carpets and drapes need replacing. There are only hard back folding chairs to sit on for the concert. Five stars for the group that performed. They were called the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. Although it was hardly more than an ensemble, the musicians enjoyed what they were doing and it really added to the audience’s enjoyment.
  • It was a pleasant experience because we had our own dinning room which gave us some privacy. The music and dance were tastefully presented but the audience chairs for the theatre were too close to one another and rather small for comfort for some. We would appreciate if they fix the light bulbs for the ladies WC...if not, the rating could be 4 1/2 stars.
  • Disappointing aĺl seats at ground level so if further from stage more heads you have to look over - you miss most of the feet movement in the ballet and ballet is on a very small stage so limited what can do - treated like cattle to get in, those who buy tickets off street vendors treated like second class and made to wait while groups and those who bought tickets at hotels are let in first. Only a 8 piece orchastra. Seats hard on the bum. Building bit tired could do with some decorating - don't waste your money.
  • Had a Mozart concert here, very nice.
  • Went for an Oprah here. The experience was really nice. Not all parts of the Palais were open except a few rooms. Backpacks and coats are not allowed so have to be left near the reception area for a small price of 1 euro each.

Where to stay in Vienna

As a former imperial capital, Vienna is full of lavish hotels reminiscent of the city’s royal past. If you’re traveling on a budget, it’s not hard to find hotels for a more affordable price. Consider staying in the Innere Stadt, or First District, if you only have a short time in town, as you’ll be within easy walking distance to many of the city’s main tourist attractions. Outside of the central core, Leopoldstadt, or Second District, lines the Danube and offers peaceful walks through tree-lined paths. For shopaholics, Mariahilf, or Sixth District, is a central neighborhood with busy shopping streets and lively markets.
