As a lover of art history I couldn't visit this museum. Works by Schiele leave you breathless, beautiful documentary that you can see in the last room in which is explained the meaning of the main works. Unforgettable experience!

Very interesting to learn, with the help of an audio guide, about Austrian art here. The highlight was learning about the work and life (so short) of Egon Schiele. Good facilities as well. We ate at t...  more »

A great museum with classical and modern pieces including Klimt but only a few pieces. It's a big place and can easily take you a few hours to visit the whole place. Going to all the individual museums together would be very costly it's best to buy a tourist card like the vienna card that will save you a huge amount of money.

Interesting building. But I was interested in Schiele and Klimt and I found only a few pieces of their art there. Staff was also not very friendly. However, as I love art I might come back again.

Astonishing collections, all inside the museum quartier. The museum is quite big and has a lot to offer, particularly interesting are many collections involving the history of Vienna and some of its famous citizens that made history.

I love this museum. A must see. Great Egon Schieles collection.

Only if you're truly enjoying the art of E Scheige. Otherwise the money doesn't worth it. I should have checked more info, as been expecting to see more of Klimt, but there is only couple of works

Where to stay in Vienna

As a former imperial capital, Vienna is full of lavish hotels reminiscent of the city’s royal past. If you’re traveling on a budget, it’s not hard to find hotels for a more affordable price. Consider staying in the Innere Stadt, or First District, if you only have a short time in town, as you’ll be within easy walking distance to many of the city’s main tourist attractions. Outside of the central core, Leopoldstadt, or Second District, lines the Danube and offers peaceful walks through tree-lined paths. For shopaholics, Mariahilf, or Sixth District, is a central neighborhood with busy shopping streets and lively markets.
