  • Included in Sisi tiket, visited the Museum of furniture and decorative arts of the Habsburg imperial residences. A pleasant surprise. It is a collection of pieces of furniture from the time of the Habsburg empire complemented by modern furnishings, studies and research in the field of furniture. Interesting and informative. Easy to get to, practically in town. The U3 Zieglergasse stop.

  • Nice in this museum where there are no big world. What may be surprising because the Sisi Ticket, that a number of people must take yet allows access to this Museum for free with the Hofburg Palace and the Castle. If the start of the visit is missing may be of interest (a row of furniture that come from the Castle or the hofburg), the suite on the floors is a lot more interesting. Are kept here furniture here of the Sissi films (which are, also, if I understand, the true and ancient furniture of the castle itself). The film clips are presented where you can see the so-called furniture highlighted. Fan of Sissi or not, the Museum is quite interesting and I recommend it. The Museum is quite large, air-conditioned, free toilets. The only downside is its distance from the other activities of the city. Not much to do in this area. Take the metro is almost essential. The cost of the Sisi Ticket is with the Vienna Card.

  • We were alone in the Museum while the Hofburg and Schönbrunn Palace are complete. And yet there are updates in authentic scenes and not just on the 19th century. In particular the development of a very progressive apartment of the 20-30 years. And what a pleasure to be able to take pictures, which is forbidden in the imperial palaces. Experience very interesting.

  • Beautiful collection of Royal furniture. It's not busy so if you are in the area it's worth visiting. The exhibition continues with modern furniture and you can actually try some of the chairs and sofas.
  • It has a good collection of furnitures together the history background of them. A good change if you have enough of art museums in Vienna.
  • Nice historical pieces however definitely feels more like a storage warehouse than a collection. Might fascinate some people.
  • Great museum for anybody who loves Austrian history and is interested in the beautiful empress Elisabeth (Sisi) and her family. An amazing collection of furniture, clothing and other objects. This place should be more famous.
  • Wasn't sure what to expect but it was great.

Where to stay in Vienna

As a former imperial capital, Vienna is full of lavish hotels reminiscent of the city’s royal past. If you’re traveling on a budget, it’s not hard to find hotels for a more affordable price. Consider staying in the Innere Stadt, or First District, if you only have a short time in town, as you’ll be within easy walking distance to many of the city’s main tourist attractions. Outside of the central core, Leopoldstadt, or Second District, lines the Danube and offers peaceful walks through tree-lined paths. For shopaholics, Mariahilf, or Sixth District, is a central neighborhood with busy shopping streets and lively markets.
