Donauturm, Vienna

(4/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Take in a panoramic overview of the city from the 252 m (827 ft) tall Donauturm. Opened in 1964 during the preparation for the Viennese International Horticultural Show, this structure has become a part of the skyline. Use one of the two high-speed elevators to reach the observation deck at 150 m (490 ft). The glassed-in terrace shields the visitors from strong winds and bad weather conditions. Dine at one of the two revolving restaurants. The tower also features a bungee-jumping site. Be aware that during strong winds the elevators only travel at half speed. • Revolving restaurant with typical Austrian cuisine and a beautiful view of the whole town, in particular the river Danube and the outskirts. We enjoyed the experience. Note that the glass on the floor below the restaurant, observation, are dull and scratched, which makes the contemplation of the landscape.

  • The viewing platform is wonderful, but having a cup of cappucino with a slice of sachatorte is a wonderful way of spending time at this place. The cake was wonderful, the coffee, well, it's Vienna and...  more »
  • We went for a walk through the Park on the Danube Tower. Driveway adult 7,90 EUR and 5.70 EUR for children. It moves with a lift which has a glass roof, atop the two observation decks. One out and another in the inner area of about. Because we were lucky with the weather, we could see relatively far and had a beautiful view over Vienna in all directions. Is worth a visit. We were in the restaurant.

  • Best Place to view the whole Vienna. the Wind was fabulous. Loved it .. Highly Recommended !!
  • Nice view from the top. Not very expensive, especially in combination with the Prater big wheel ticket. Worth visiting. The view is simply amazing.
  • Both the tower and the park were amazing, well worth the admission fee. We didn't try the cafe or restaurant, but the observation deck provides the best view of Vienna on the city.
  • Too crowdy! Way too expensive to dont get a place in the Cafe!
  • The observation deck scales dizzy heights and so it really is quite windy up there! The park at the foot of the tower is also really nice.
