  • I had visited the spectacular creative residential building architect Hundertwasser and I luved it. This additional work is really interesting because it combines technology and design with the aim of respecting the environment. The huge incinerator (energy produced by waste incineration) Spittelau, as seen in the photos which I enclose was designed by architect after its initial rejection, just because environmental pollution has been minimized and fume because it serves to heat well 60000 flats, thus avoiding carbon dioxide otherwise needed to produce the same heat with traditional systems and reducing the pollution of the city. The artistic sign that distinguishes the works of this artist is evident and the mix of colors and shapes blends perfectly the technological environment. Really interesting and nice to see. • Plan your walk around Vienna so you get to see this cheerful heating plant. There is noting except the plant ther, but the Danube canal is near, so you can have a nice walk near the water afterwards.
  • Didn't go on a tour, but just seeing the outside is worth the trip to this fascinating facility. Travel there easily by train or tram from the city.
