  • The Viennese Theatre Museum is an important institution for theatre lovers with a connected library. Exhibitions in varying quality, with the latter growing more. In the permanent exhibition, I would like to stress the Bühnenmodelle of different big stages of Vienna and the showrooms to Richard Teschners figure mirrors. There are not only performances this Symbolist puppet theatre experience, other interesting events and workshops take place (Web page is however confusing - the dates found on the home page in the calendar tile, the link to the events leads to past dates!). A visit to the Theatre Museum fun anyway, determined connoisseurs.

  • Was very under whelmed with the museum. Lack of exhibits and staff were unfriendly. Audio guide didn't work
  • It is practically around the corner, the Austrian Theatre Museum; within easy reach the tourist trails of the city of Vienna. This year the twenty-fifth year in the Palais housed Lobkowotz, the small but fine dinghy of the giant tanker KHM (Kunsthistorisches Museum) is a terrific birthday present to the quarter of a century: "Spettacolo barocco! Triumph of the theatre". Worth seeing, worth & worth seeing again. like the rest of the House also. Because the Theatre Museum can stage more than just premium theme exhibitions. For example, a painting of the great Gustav Klimt, "Nuda veritas", reached via Hermann Bahr's estate in the House, "Eroica Hall", a magnificent place where Ludwig van Beethoven's 3rd Symphony was performed for the first time, the impressive figures of the dolls magician Richard Teschner's can be found upstairs, stairs etc. etc. A visit is worthwhile in any case, because this place unobtrusive and emphatically proves the truth: small is beautiful!
