  • This is a great local park with a kids play area and lots of green space for adults to walk and enjoy. We loved teaching the kids the history of the flak tower that dominates the area as well.
  • Returning from the gazebo in the Center, decided to make a detour on the road to take a look at the Saint Roch Church and go to the House of Hundertwasser. Lopping on alleys stumbled on this a little. First and foremost, of course, attention grey concrete Whopper Tower PVO (or rather-a pair of towers)-built in 1942-43, it is the largest anti-aircraft towers in Vienna. Now the tower as I realized, closed for renovation, and now they are used for a variety of events dedicated to contemporary art.

  • Two massive flak towers from World War 2, equipment for the defense of Allied bombing raids on the city of Vienna are in the small park in the middle of a residential area. There are similar systems in two other places in Vienna. Really worth a visit.
