  • This is a great local park with a kids play area and lots of green space for adults to walk and enjoy. We loved teaching the kids the history of the flak tower that dominates the area as well.  more »
  • Returning from the gazebo in the Center, decided to make a detour on the road to take a look at the Saint Roch Church and go to the House of Hundertwasser. Lopping on alleys stumbled on this a little. First and foremost, of course, attention grey concrete Whopper Tower PVO (or rather-a pair of towers)-built in 1942-43, is the largest anti-aircraft towers in Vienna. Now the tower as I realized, closed for renovation, and now they are used for a variety of events dedicated to contemporary art.

  • Nice park with lots of people playing games and having fun in it. The Flak and Feuerleitturm from Nazi times give it a really cool vibe.
  • Interesting historic WW2 Flaktowers remaining at both ends of the park.
  • Nice little park but it is the flak towers that are impressive.
  • Nice public park with remarkable structures left from the WWII era.
  • Been playing at this park for years, i met a lot of new people there . Both basketball and football can be played there but there is a lacking amount of ppl playing basketball so not a very good place to look for a game if playing basketball. There are often football games so if looking for an interesting game this is the place to go

Where to stay in Vienna

As a former imperial capital, Vienna is full of lavish hotels reminiscent of the city’s royal past. If you’re traveling on a budget, it’s not hard to find hotels for a more affordable price. Consider staying in the Innere Stadt, or First District, if you only have a short time in town, as you’ll be within easy walking distance to many of the city’s main tourist attractions. Outside of the central core, Leopoldstadt, or Second District, lines the Danube and offers peaceful walks through tree-lined paths. For shopaholics, Mariahilf, or Sixth District, is a central neighborhood with busy shopping streets and lively markets.
