  • The Roman Museum is worth a visit. Great digs, very well sign-posted and labeled, well informed staff, then necessarily on the Donaulände stroll thanks for great information, because it converts to history!

  • For interested parties to recommend, but don't expect too much. Probably more interesting for only average interested if it is on the way. Cases are extremely clean cleaned. But it is Celia finds from the area, nothing spektaküläres, often in archaeology. All regional info about Roman, which is interesting. Somehow it lacks "the red thread", a "control system", clear sections... Many information panels, you could make that more interesting. More attention to the details that could be E.g. senselessly screen, glued figures, fallen things... 1.5 rooms info about Tan churches, but also here is missing somehow to see what's exactly is... We take 1.5 hours. We quite liked :) But we have visited already sehenswerteres.

  • We were recently on the national day in the Roman Museum. With my 12 year old son, we have spent a wonderful morning in the historic building. We came out from the wonder, alone the old bricks that laid on the floor were the numerous original Roman archaeological finds and grave goods from the civil settlement ...enorm fascinating. The ancient COMAGENIS had too much wealth and comfort, also offer in the lobby a very insightful and informative visualization. The "cult of Mithras" was here very strongly present, a replica of the precision-worked Mithras stone can be found in the exhibition. Behind the building you can see the excavations of the ruins of the Porta Principalis Dextra conducted on-site. Really exciting how much of it was still preserved. Furthermore, is to recommend the so-called "fan Tower" in the courtyard of the secondary school II (only with guided tour available), as well as to visit the fully preserved "Roman tower" on the corner of Nibelungengasse/Donaulände. Reconstruction of the Severinsplatz, as well as an equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius at the Donaulände reminiscent of numerous Roman relief stone or the milestone historic 400-year settlement in the castle of "COMAGENIS".
